This session celebrates the outstanding champions of the Arab Reading Challenge, highlighting their achievements in promoting Arabic reading and fostering a culture of knowledge across the Arab world. It reflects on the initiative’s impact in inspiring millions of students to engage with Arabic literature and develop strong reading habits.
The Arab Reading Challenge was launched under the umbrella of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, with its first edition in the 2015-2016 academic year, where students were challenged to read 50 books a year. Since then the challenge has been drawing participants from all over the world. Today we celebrate the impact of the initiative and hear from the winning students about their experience, their love of reading and what it means for them in today's world.
