This workshop explores creative reading as a cognitive skill that goes beyond mere reading speed, contributing to a more efficient and conscious reading experience. Through targeted training on regulating attention, expanding the visual field, improving information processing, and extracting main ideas along with their interrelationships, the workshop reinforces that reading is an art. When built upon deliberate scientific and instructional strategies, speed does not compromise understanding; rather, it enhances comprehension by heightening focus, minimizing distractions, and developing skills in selection, analysis, synthesis, and deep understanding. Consequently, this elevates reading comprehension efficiency, enabling students to engage with diverse texts both deeply and efficiently in less time.
Furthermore, the workshop aims to leverage this skill to expand participation in the Arab Reading Challenge by up to 60%. By empowering students to read a larger volume of books while efficiently absorbing their content, the program fosters reading motivation, elevates overall performance, and drives outstanding educational and competitive achievements.
