Ebtisam Al-Beiti is a Senior Specialist in Quality Improvement at the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai, where she works closely with the Early Years sector to strengthen standards and embed continuous improvement practices across Early Childhood Centres (ECCs) in Dubai. Her work focuses on building sustainable quality frameworks and ensuring that young learners remain at the heart of every improvement journey.
An established Emirati children’s author and passionate literacy advocate, Ebtisam brings over nine years of experience in early years education through both teaching and leadership roles. Her passion for education began in high school when she volunteered to read stories to preschool children, an experience that later inspired her to pursue a career in both education and children’s literature.
Ebtisam holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Sunderland and has been actively involved in educational initiatives and literary programmes across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and internationally. Her debut book, Can I Go Out Now?, was first introduced at the Emirates Airlines Festival of Literature in 2021 and has since been featured in government reading initiatives, school programmes, and children’s workshops across the region.
She has published four children’s books: Can I Go Out Now?, Citrus the Smoothie Sloth, A Dragon Called Blue, and her latest book, Fly Red Fly, published in January 2026. Her books continue to be in high demand across schools and nurseries in the UAE and internationally, with storytelling sessions and workshops delivered at the Toronto International Festival of Authors (TIFA), the Bradford Literature Festival, and The International School of Bologna in Italy. Through her storytelling, school visits, and literary events, she champions the joy of reading and the power of language to nurture confidence, imagination, and lifelong learning habits in children.
Ebtisam’s work bridges the worlds of education leadership and children’s literature, always with a focus on nurturing curious, empowered, and confident young learners. She lives with her family in Dubai and should not be confused with her identical twin sister!
