Dr Rachel Takriti

Dr Rachel Takriti is an Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education in the Learning and Educational Leadership Department at the College of Education, United Arab Emirates University (UAEU).
Takriti has a PhD and BSc in Psychology from the University of Surrey. Prior to moving to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), she held positions at Birmingham University, Sheffield Hallam University, and Leeds Beckett University.
Her research interests include science education in early years, starting school experiences, and educational transitions, cross-cultural education in the early years, and the understanding of social groups, prejudice, and discrimination in childhood.
