The Birmingham University faculty’s research focus will be on dual language learning.

United Arab Emirates University

The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) is the first and foremost comprehensive national university in the United Arab Emirates. Founded in 1976 by the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, UAEU aspires to become a comprehensive, research-intensive university and currently enrolls approximately 14,968 Emirati and international students. The UAEU faculty’s research focus will be on the cognitive side of learning.

Zayed University

Zayed University is a national and regional leader in educational innovation. Founded in 1998 and proudly bearing the name of the Founder of the Nation – the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, this flagship institution has met the President’s high expectations. Today, Zayed University has two modern campuses in Dubai and Abu Dhabi that welcome both national and international students. The Zayed University faculty’s research focus will be on Arabic language learning.

Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT)

Founded in 1988, the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) is the UAE’s largest applied higher education institution and the nation’s first approved university economic free zone, empowering it to graduate companies in alignment with the directives of the UAE’s wise leadership. Renowned as a dynamic hub of technology-driven innovation and excellence in education, HCT has gained an enviable reputation for its agile, innovative, and job-focused practices, fulfilling its mission of igniting Emirati excellence. HCT will be focusing on the impact across different academic subjects of the Reading for Pleasure initiative.
